Introduction

Ubiquitous Computing is emerging rapidly as an exciting new paradigm to provide computing and communication services any time, any where. For realizing ubiquitous computing, UASS is needed. Our Session (UASS) provides a chance for academic and industry professionals to discuss recent progress in the area of ubiquitous Computing Environment including models and systems, new directions, novel applications associated with the utilization, and acceptance of ubiquitous computing devices and systems.

UASS-08 is a successor of the 1st International Workshop on Ubiquitous Application & Security Service (UASS'06 : 8 - 11 May 2006, Glasgow, Scotland, UK) and the 2nd International Workshop on Ubiquitous Application & Security Service (UASS-07: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, 26-29 August, 2007).

Important dates

Submission deadline: Oct. 26, 2007 --> Nov. 9, 2007 (Final Extension)
Author Notification: Nov. 15, 2007
Author Registration: Dec. 1, 2007
Final Manuscript Due Jan. 10, 2008

Paper Submission

Submit a full paper of at most 8 page (IEEE Computer Society Proceedings Manuscripts style: two columns, single-spaced), including figures and references, using 10 fonts, and number each page. You can confirm the IEEE Computer Society Proceedings Author Guidelines at the following web page:

Accepted papers will be given guidelines in preparing and submitting the final manuscript(s) together with the notification of acceptance. The proceedings will be published by IEEE Computer Society Press with 6 pages for each paper. Authors of accepted papers, or at least one of them, are requested to register and present their work at the conference, otherwise their papers will be removed from the digital library after the conference.

Distinguished papers accepted and presented in UASS-08, after further revisions, will be published in special issues on prestigious international journals (Pending).

Publication

The proceedings of the Conference will be published by IEEE Computer Society.

Outstanding papers will be published for a Special Issue on International Journals by indexed by SCIE(Confirmed).
