The 1st International Workshop on

Data Management in Ubiquitous Computing (DMUC '07)

April 26th ~ 28th, 2007
Korean Bible University, Seoul, Korea

to be held in conjunction with The 2007 International Conference on

Multimedia and Ubiquitous Engineering (MUE 2007)

Overview

Ubiquitous Computing at anytime, anyplace, and anywhere is no more a daydream. Due to the advance of information and communication technology, ubiquitous computing is emerging rapidly as a new paradigm.
Ubiquitous and pervasive computing creates new challenges for traditional data management systems. It requires not only a new type of applications, but also a different level of scalability, performance, and robustness in data processing. Although considerable research has been conducted, there are still open research challenges in data management for ubiquitous and pervasive computing. This workshop focuses on research contributions related to data management in ubiquitous and pervasive computing.

Author Instruction

Authors are invited to submit original papers: they must not substantially duplicate work that any of the authors have published elsewhere or have submitted in parallel to any other conferences that have proceedings. The submission of contributions to IMIS2007 occurs through the MUE2007 paper submission website. Paper must be prepared with PDF. Please use IEEE CS paper format. Submissions must not exceed 6 pages, including tables and figures, with only PDF. Submission of a paper implies that should the paper be accepted, at least one of the authors will register and present the paper in the conference.

Proceedings and Special Issue

All accepted papers will be included in the conference proceeding published by IEEE CS (Our proceedings will be included in EI and other index). The proceedings will be available at the conference. At least one author of an accepted paper must register at the conference site and present the paper at the workshop.

Outstanding papers will be published for a Special Issue on JOURNAL OF  INTELLIGENT MANUFACTURING  (indexed by SCI-E).  [Call for Paper download]
