The International Workshop 2009 on Safe Human Computer Interaction (SHCI-ISA-09)

June 25 - 27, 2009,

Korea University, Seoul, Korea.

in conjunction with

The 3rd International Conference on Information Security and Assurance (ISA-09)

l      Brief Description of International Workshop

It keeps going on the efforts to overcome the obstacle between human and computers through Human Computer Interaction (HCI) and Ubiquitous Computing (UC). HCI is a discipline to study the interaction between people and computers. Context-Aware (CA) and Ambient Intelligence (AmI) are central issues in HCI which takes the users context into account when creating user interfaces in ubiquitous environments. For this purpose, a lot of technologies are involved including Terminal Technology, System Technology, Network Technology, Platform Technology, Application Technology, Artificial Intelligence etc. But sometimes users may get wrong results due to many attackers during the communication. That is why security technology is needed for effective and reliable communication in human computer interaction. The special session will provide a forum for researchers in the field of security technology and human computer interaction to present novel ideas, problems and solutions. The main goal of the special session is to bring CA and AmI to the security technology research area.
