FBIT has fully agreed a Special Issue of the open access and SCIE listed (impact factor 1.8) Journal of Biomedicine and Biotechnology to take the best paper submissions from the conference, and the issue will appear by the date of the conference. The call for this special issue is not appearing in the journal website because it is open to conference participants only. FBIT will provide the successful authors with the mechanism to submit the paper for review that is based on the approved abstract. By this agreement participants also get a reduction to the cost per page over that of a normal submission to this open access journal (50 Euro per page). Papers will be adjudicated to appear in the journal should the qualifying authors agree. More information about the special issue can be obtained from the General Chairs.  Agreed

Publication Flowchart

There are two choices to submission (for details see Submit Paper):
  1. RC4I by Executive Summary Abstract
  2. MWP by 4-page mini version of the paper

There are certain breakpoints
  • R stands for a formal "review" gate
  • MR stands for a mini-review where the Publications Chairs look over your paper

There are four outcomes
  1. no: it means that your paper is rejected.
  2. IEEE Proceedings: research papers will be included in this Engineering Index and IEEE Electronic Library high quality conference proceedings.
  3. Journal of Biomedicine and Biotechnology special issue: up to 60 of the best contributions in FBIT will be selected for the special issue of this open access SCIE listed journal. Note that only appropriate contributions of high impact factor quality will be considered.
  4. Journal of Soft Computing special issue: up to 10 of the best contributions in the topic of bioinspired algorithms will be included in special issue of this SCIE listed journal.
